Ani Rinchen Khandro’s pilgrimage to Bodhgaya for the 30th Kagyu Monlams, hosted by HH Karmapa at the site of the Buddha’s enlightenment, and to the Deer Park in Sarnath where the Buddha gave his first teachings.
Samye Dzong Edinburgh has re-opened after the winter break and encourages all our friends and supporters to benefit from the range of classes, prayers and meditation sessions on offer throughout the week.
Samye Dzong Edinburgh will close for the winter break from December 14th 2012 and re-open on Monday January 14th 2013.
This term at Kagyu Samye Dzong Edinburgh we invite you to a series of matinée screenings of teachings by His Holiness the 17th Karmapa on How to Become a Good Person by Having the Wish to Benefit Others. The screenings will be followed by tea/coffee/cake and chat.
Kagyu Samye Dzong Edinburgh will break up for the summer holidays on Friday July 27th 2012. The centre reopens on Monday September 3rd. Full details and bookings for our Autumn/Winter term now online!

A spectacular series of the Edinburgh Lectures will wrap up this Friday with a special talk from His Holiness the Dalai Lama at the Usher Hall.
This week commemorates two of the most holy events in the Buddhist calendar, namely the birth of the Buddha and the Buddha’s perfect enlightenment.
