Saga Dawa & Anniversary Celebrations

Saga Dawa commemorates the Birth, Enlightenment and PariNirvana of the Buddha, culminating on the full moon, which this year falls on the auspicious weekend of May 30th/31st. And in 2026, it also marks the 10th Anniversary of Kagyu Samye Dzong Edinburgh first opening the doors of the historic building which has become our home.
It doesn’t seem like ten years since we moved from our Walker Street venue for the inauguration of our beautiful new Dharma Centre in Bernard Street, Leith. But here we are, a decade later, having survived (Covid!) and thrived in this amazing mandala of a temple, with old friends and new, not only from Edinburgh but from around the world, both in person and online. Thanks to all of you for helping to establish KSDE as a flourishing Dharma Centre for Peace and Health, so needed in today’s world.
We hope many of you will be able to join us for the Anniversary Celebrations.
