The Teachings of Akong Tulku Rinpoche

We continue to delve into the rich legacy of Akong Rinpoche’s wise and wonderful teachings, with this session entitled ‘Advice from the Heart’.

The teachings of this great modern Master, are not only part of his legacy, but might more accurately be described as his invaluable guide for living in today’s world.

Akong Rinpoche’s life straddled the ages and the continents, from his early years as the reincarnate Lama of his Monastery in a remote region of Tibet, to the majority of his life spent in the UK and on his travels around the world. As such he knew both East and West and was able to share his wisdom and compassion in ways most appropriate to whoever was on the receiving end.

Most importantly, Rinpoche’s impeccable example, coupled with his humility, humour and common sense served as an inspiration for people around the world. Through his teachings and talks, transcribed into books, we have the great good fortune to access all the above. A veritable blueprint for living wisely and meaningfully in today’s world.
