Dusum Khyenpa Anniversary

The Anniversary of the 1st Karmapa, Dusum Khyenpa’s PariNirvana

Join us on this special day to give thanks as we offer lights, katas and chant Karmapa Chenno.

“The First Karmapa, Dusum Khyenpa, is the lineage guru who established the Karma Kagyu lineage. As a lineage guru he is the wellspring of a long and unbroken series of masters and disciples who passed this Karma Kagyu lineage from one to the other in what we call the Golden Rosary. All the goodness that these masters created in the world over the past 900 years can be traced to the original kindness of Dusum Khyenpa.”
His Holiness 17th Karmapa, Ogyen Trinley Dorje

Prayer and Meditation sessions are offered free of charge. However, all donations are much appreciated and go towards the upkeep of the Centre. Any such offerings enable Samye Dzong to serve the community and provide the opportunity to cultivate generosity.
