The Philosophy of Vajrayana Buddhism with Gelong Thubten

Gelong Thubten has been a monk at Samye Ling Monastery for sixteen years and recently furthered his training by participating in a four year retreat.

In this one day course Thubten will explain the methods and background of Vajrayana deity practice, one of the major methods of Tibetan Buddhism. He will explain what ‘visualisation’ means and give practical, step-by-step advice on how to develop the ability to visualise.

The role of Vajrayana ritual and its effect on our minds will be explored to discover for ourselves how these skilful methods are so effective in pacifying our neuroses and helping us to develop a stable, contented and joyful mind.
