Courses for February 2010

Ani Rinchen will explain the significance of ritual offerings and music in the Vajrayana practices of Tibetan Buddhism. Instruction will be given in the playing of sacred instruments as used in Green Tara and Medicine Buddha Pujas etc.

The course will also include practical instruction on setting up a shrine and the making of traditional offerings using saffron water, rice, butter and dough. These skills may be used during group Pujas or to enhance one's individual practice. Participants will also help to prepare the Samye Dzong shrine for Losar, Tibetan New Year, on February 14th.
