Courses for April 2010
| Ancient Wisdom for Modern Times with Ringu Tulku Rinpoche Ringu Tulku Rinpoche is a Lama for our time. His erudition combines with a lightness of touch to elucidate the timeless wisdom of Tibetan Buddhism, making it accessible and relevant in resolving the stress of living in today's world. By pin-pointing the causes of deluded thinking we begin to understand the mechanism of 'knee jerk' reactions which cause disharmony in ourselves and with others. Understanding and reflection leads to the natural dissolving of restrictive, mental habits, thus opening us to a more balanced, harmonious and joyful experience of life. |

| Devotion and Compassion with Ringu Tulku Rinpoche Ringu Tulku Rinpoche will explain, from a Buddhist perspective, the benefits of developing devotion to worthy beings and compassion for all sentient beings for both the recipients and the practitioner. According to Vajrayana Buddhism, impartial kindness towards others and devotion to one's spiritual teacher is said to be especially important for one's spiritual progress. This is of particular relevance in view of the proposed visit to the UK of His Holiness the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa. |
